Hardcore on COD? Thats for wusses. In a map that takes 4 hours to cross on foot, 2 hours in a jeep and 20 minuites in light aircraft you don't just point and shoot you measure the distance and account for bullet drop and wind direction. The on the bun? No retarded bunny hopping and astounding co-op, help friends in campaign missions or set up your own missions. Want an evening of warfare? Secure a small farm near the centre of the island, you and your mates take on a bunch of NPCs with realistic AI moddeled on US Marine training manuals and demonstrated tactics in the theatre of war. Land your UH-60 in the field so your mates can get out, get your snipers in the forest and wait for the inevitible "air strike inbound warning". This is definatley war. New details online is 20vs20, nothing special there but each player is in charge of their own NPC squad, PC version has 8 per player so maybe 6 for PS3 and shit-60. No more whining for a sniper or defenders then! _________________ Hard work never killed anyone... but why take the risk?

| I prefer 6 v 6...IMO COD 4 got it spot on (although still had lag!) I find the the larger games pointless (unless you have a whole clan in them, all with mikes and having trained to fight as cohesive units). most times the larger games just become a fragfest....pointless. | I think with the enormous scale of the map 20 vs 20 is still going to be great, and that is the max. Although spawn points are changed for different "maps" like GTA the entire map is still accesible. Plus there are a lot of roles to fill, it's allways best to maintain air supremacy at all times which means at least jets in the air at anyone time, you need a chopper piloting a black hawk to help moving the troops to far away objectives and an attack chopper pilot to escort that black hawk. _________________ Hard work never killed anyone... but why take the risk? |

thay said its not a problem with lag as they are going to have a special server that does sumin to get rid of it, rfom may of had it as i was on 256mb and had got my 20 odd killstreak, with a game like that sum people will just lag and go from one spot to another, r2 didnt have any of this except for a couple of people, so 100v100 is easy for them, MAG(massive action game) is going to have 256 players per team, holy f***ing hala ula

Some people jumping spot to spot? They tend to be the ones who think they are all that. Even a dedicated local server isn't going to fix lag completely. I reckon MAG having a subscription charge is very likely, running servers like that isn't going to be good for their profits. Plus like I mentioned earlier you have an NPC squad in your control, if it is 6 each then that (kind of) makes 120vs120, I think, lack of calculator lol. _________________ Hard work never killed anyone... but why take the risk?

i don't think they will ever be able to get rid of lag i have had games where it does seem like there is no lag and they seem to end fast and are very rare to find if the people that do MAG charge then i might have to tell them to shove it unless they give everyone the game as a free download and have it pay to play but even then it would still suck

I agree with you on subscriptions coroner (cue DW having a heart attack , chezz spilling his vodka , donkey looking away from his trophies for a second and coroner halting his daily 5 knuckle shuffle as the fanfare rolls in, some equal opportunitities dissing there lol), sometimes I don't play a game often and I wouldn't like to pay for time I don't use. If it's something cheap like a fiver a month and it was a free download i'd give it a try but knowing most companies this won't happen. _________________ Hard work never killed anyone... but why take the risk?

Well PSM3 say it's on the list of games coming out that will have a subscription charge, along with some MMORPGs coming out. I'd give it 90% that this has a subscription charge. (that 10% is to cover my arse lol). I have heard about these special servers and if they do implement them it'd be reasonable to charge usage from them. I'll wait for reviews on MAG because if it isn't lag free then it's main selling point is defunct, "yeah, 256 players per team but you can't hit a single one of them". _________________ Hard work never killed anyone... but why take the risk?
